A mom from the West Virginia town of Pendleton got a new blanket that she says her dad gave her as a gift.WVTV News reports that Cindy Oltman had a “funny” experience at Pendleton High School.
The mom says her daughter, 6, was getting ready to go to school when she saw a pink Pendleton blankets and the words “Dinosaur Blanket” on the front.
“My daughter said, ‘What do you mean Dinosaur Blanket?'” the Pendleton Police Department said.
“The boy said, Well, I got it and I gave it to her.
She got it on her first day.”
She says the boy, who she says is named Bryce, took the blanket and the two went out for a walk.
Afterward, she says the boys told her the blankets were hers.
“We had a really good day, and I was like, ‘Oh my god, you are the coolest,'” Cindy Olesman said.
When the two got home, the parents of both kids were shocked to find out their kids had got the same blanket.
“It was just kind of a joke, I mean, we got a pink blanket, and he had a Dinosaur blanket, so we are going to have to change them,” she said.
